Well, I did it! I made it to the last day in the Write 31 Days Challenge. I’m already looking forward to next year! I’m not sure if I’ll continue my series on Writing Naked or come up with something new altogether. The challenge of writing 31 blog posts (in my case, 30) was so much harder than I thought it would be.
I definitely did not get enough sleep which might be the main reason I was late to everything. It’s a good excuse anyway. I may need to hibernate for the winter so if you don’t hear from me for awhile, that’s why.
I also finalized my chapter in that book TODAY! Yay! So now I’m feeling good about it. Even if I wasn’t feeling good about it, it’s too late. It’s a done deal, as is this. I’m tired! I learned so much about myself on this journey, as did you.
I discovered the little blue birdie in me and realized turning forty isn’t all that bad. I became aware of the things I need to work on, starting with the most obvious, my chronic late problem. I thought I’d already said my goodbyes to insecurity and perfectionism, but turns out both have been sticking around.
I am learning to discover my true self as it is found in Jesus. God is still teaching me to slow down and to choose bravery even if that means telling my friends I’m not wearing any underwear. I enjoyed sharing my favorite things and I hope you enjoyed following along.
This is Day 31 of a 31-day series on writing naked. You can find the series in its entirety HERE.
This does not involve the removal of actual clothing. So please! keep them on!
